If a crisis should strike in Finland, the nation is prepared. One of the Finnish society’s strengths is the cooperation between various Finnish players, which lays the foundation for crisis preparedness. The Finnish resilience is based on the interaction between authorities, up-to-date planning, regular exercising and, most of all, the willingness to work together.
Also international cooperation strengthens Finland’s comprehensive security. Cooperation in civil preparedness with NATO enables Finland to review the effectiveness of its own systems in the light of new security threats, as part of the European and Euro-Atlantic security system.
